Minissha Lamba (born on January 18, 1985) is an Indian Bollywood actress. She has had roles in several Bollywood films

She may be called as one of the most popular new faces introduced in the Bollywood in the recent years. Minissha was born in Kashmir, in the year 1985. Her dad was in the hospitality business. This gave Minissha to travel around the country and meet many people. She has graduated from the Miranda House, University of Delhi and has a degree in English. Her long term ambition was to become a journalist. However, she pursued modeling as hobby and that turned the tide and made her an actress.

It is to be said that though severely interested she was not at all prepared or ever intended to use modeling as a stepping-stone to films. So this offer to her was beyond imagination and she took Sircar's offer and moved on to acting in films. She says if she couldn't have been an actress, she would have wanted to be a war correspondent
